One person was fatally shot on Saturday 23 June near
Durbanville in a suspected flare-up of taxi violence.
The incident is said to have taken place on the corners of
Durban and Kendal roads.
According to provincial traffic chief, Kenny Africa, the
driver of a Toyota Quantum was left dead while two passengers escaped
unwounded.
“It is suspected that this is related to rivalry in the taxi
industry,” Africa said.
