Dog attacks woman

According to Muller the same woman says that she told the victim not to run when the dog slipped out from behind the fence.

A 57-year-old woman from Melton Rose sustained severe
injuries to her legs after being bitten by a Pitbull this morning.

According to Kleinvlei police communications officer Captain
Florina Muller, the attack occurred at approximately 08:00 when the woman was
standing outside the house of a friend in Bonetia Street, Melton Rose.

Muller says that it is alleged by residents that this is not
the first time that this dog has attacked someone. She further says that the
woman on whose property the dog lives says that the dog belongs to her brother.

According to Muller the same woman says that she told the
victim not to run when the dog slipped out from behind the fence.

It was however found that merely two dirt bins were used as
a means of preventing the dog from escaping from the yard.

Law Enforcement’s vicious dog unit was called to the scene
to make a decision as to the removal of the dog.

Muller confirms that  a case has not been opened with
police yet.
