The chairperson of the Delft Taxi Council, Nazeem Daniels (54), was gunned down in a taxi shooting incident in Delft this morning (Monday 21 May) amid ongoing taxi-related violence in the area.
According to police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Brian Daniels, the incident occurred at 06:40 at the U-Save taxi rank.
“The deceased was walking towards the taxi rank when unknown assailants shot him seven times. He died on the scene.
“We have since increased visibility in the area, but all taxi routes have been reopened.”
