The Parow North Swimming Pool located in De Grendel Drive, Parow is once again open to visitors as the hot summer holidays get closer.

For the time being the swimming pool is only open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, says ward councillor Roger Cannon. The schedule will be amended for the peak season once the school holidays start in December.

Cannon says that the Seniors Aerobics Programme as well as the Seniors Learn to Swim Programme has also returned. Both groups practice on Mondays and Wednesdays from 09:00 to 10:00, and 10:00 to 11:00 respectively.

According to the City of Cape Town’s website, the swimming facilities consist of an Olympic size pool, springboard diving pools, and a splash pools for children.

The pool will be open from Monday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00 during the peak season, it says. Adults pay R9, children R3 and infants and pensioners enter for free.
