At Astra School for the Physically Disabled, coach Thomas Solomon Fortuin is on a mission to transform the lives of children with disabilities by using sports as a tool for empowerment.

His goal is to create inclusive sports leagues where students can develop physical skills, engage in healthy competition, and build lasting friendships in a supportive environment.

“We want these children to grow physically, socially, and emotionally, while also enjoying the camaraderie and sense of belonging that sports provide,” says Fortuin.

To bring this vision to life, Fortuin is seeking support to develop inclusive sports programmes. This includes providing specialised training for coaches and staff, creating accessible facilities, and acquiring adaptive sports equipment tailored to the unique needs of the children.
