There’s some good news for Kraaifontein. The City of Cape Town is heading there, gearing its mobile office up for a trip to the Kraaifontein Civic Theatre on Friday.
Parking in the lot outside from 09:30 to 13:30, City staff will be able to help residents with all sorts of non-emergency enquiries from billing to service requests.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the services that come along with the mobile office, even if it’s just to ask a quick question.
Staff will be ready to help residents with logging queries electronically and engaging on a wide range of issues, including rates, sewerage, electricity, water, refuse collection and other account-related enquiries.
Mayco member for Corporate Services Theresa Uys said the staff will be there to provide guidance and assistance on the day.
“It is always great to see residents coming out in their numbers and getting their municipal matters resolved during these mobile office visits,” she said. “Residents are reminded to bring along their IDs or municipal accounts to help ease the process on the day.”
Ward councillor Rhynhardt Bresler said this was the perfect opportunity for elderly people to enquire about municipal rebates. “The elderly are often sent from pillar to post when trying to find information about the rebates that is difficult to calculate,” he pointed out.
Whats more, Bresler added, these visits by mobile units put representatives from all the City departments in one place, making it very convenient for residents.
