Spur celebrated its 57th anniversary with a heartwarming event that went beyond tradition and embraced the true spirit of giving back to the community on Thursday 24 October.

This special day was marked by an inspiring collaboration between Tomahawk Spur Goodwood and the Salvation Army Goodwood, turning the occasion into a beacon of kindness and connection.

The restaurant’s doors were opened to 39 children and 10 devoted care workers from the Salvation Army, as well as local children from the surrounding streets, for an unforgettable day filled with joy, laughter, and unity.

From the outset, Spur’s goal was clear: to make every child feel valued and included in the Goodwood community. By partnering with the Salvation Army, this vision came to life in a powerful way, showcasing the collective impact of teamwork and shared purpose. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as children engaged in a variety of activities designed to bring out their creativity and camaraderie.

Face painting sessions transformed little faces into colourful masterpieces, sparking joy and wonder.

A bouncing castle stood tall, beckoning children to leap and play with carefree energy, while group games invited everyone to join in and create memories.

Commitment to community

Amidst the fun, there was also a moment for nourishment that underscored Spur’s deeper mission: not just to serve food but to foster a sense of togetherness.

The day culminated in a hearty, shared meal, symbolic of Spur’s dedication to nurturing both body and spirit, and reinforcing their commitment to community and connection.

The partnership with the Salvation Army Goodwood shone as a testament to Spur’s unwavering dedication to supporting local youth.

It highlighted the significance of forming meaningful relationships with community organisations to bring about positive change.

Through such partnerships, Tomahawk Spur Goodwood has carved out its role not just as a place to eat, but as a place that cares, uplifts, and enriches the life of those it touches.

The 57th anniversary celebration at Tomahawk Spur Goodwood was more than just a milestone; it was a declaration of their steadfast belief in giving back.
