Vehicles were set alight today again on the Bellville campus of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT).
This follows violent protests on CPUT campuses about two weeks ago where at least two vehicles were damaged and two security guards were treated for smoke inhalation after they were locked inside a burning building on the Bellville campus.
Iit has been reported that five vehicles were set alight today.
This is according to security teams on campus, and police were on the scene to contain the situation.
Lauren Kansley, CPUT spokesperson, says thankfully university activities have been suspended for the most part so most staff and students were not on the campus.
