A fire broke out in Blackheath Industria showing columns of black smoke over the area visible as far as Bellville by late afternoon on Thursday 12 October.
Ian Schnetler, a spokesperson from the City of Cape Town’s Fire and Rescue Services, confirmed the incident to TygerBurger and said at 16:15 the fire was still raging in Metal Road in Blackheath.
Further details were not available at the time, as Fire and Rescue Services were still on the scene trying to douse the blaze.
