Six suspects were arrested over the weekend after the body
of an unknown woman was found on Bottelary Road.

The body of the woman was found by passersby at
approximately 09:30 on Saturday 19 May on a farm on Bottelary Road. Evidence
suggests that the body was left there, but that the murder had been committed
elsewhere. The body was also burnt.

The subsequent investigation by the detective team led to
the arrest of three men from Kraaifontein (ages 25, 32 and 32) on Saturday 20
May at 13:00.  Another three were
arrested on Monday 21 May. They are also from Kraaifontein (two women aged 18
and 29 and a 25-year-old male).

The six suspects will appear in the Blue Downs Magistrate’s
Court this morning on charges of murder.

The identity of the deceased is still unknown.

Anyone who can assist with information regarding the
identity of the deceased can contact the investigating officer, Sergeant
Marilize Hansen, on 021 983 1940 or 021 980 5700.
