A 16-year-old boy was shot dead on Thursday afternoon at the Disa Court in Myrtle Road, Bishop Lavis.
Bishop Lavis police spokesperson, Constable Samantha Adonis says that the boy was shot in the chest and head and, was declared dead at the scene.
“It is alleged that the victim appeared in Bishop Lavis court on a possession of drug charge and was on his way home when he was gun downed in front of Disa Court.”
Adonis says it is unknown how many people were involved in the shooting and no arrests have been made.
She says police are investing a case of murder and the shooting is believed to be gang related.
