The Bothasig Clinic held a Wellness Open Day recently in partnership with the Bothasig Community Policing Forum.

Bothasig residents, both young and old, were able to take part in exercise classes last week at the Bothasig Clinic Wellness Open Day. The event also included informative talks on a range of topics.

The event, which was held on Tuesday 14 October, was organised by the Bothasig Clinic and the Bothasig Community Policing Forum (CPF) at the clinic.

Mario Borchards, CPF chair, says their organisation was responsible for the décor and food, while the clinic invited all the organisations. He says a Wellness Social Walk was also held with the clinic before the main event.

The event brings together key partners and service providers to support mental health, social wellness, and healthy living in our community, he says. The programme included informative talks, interactive sessions, and wellness activities.

The organisations that attended include the South Africa Social Security Agency, Vulamathuba, Assupol, Virgin Active, Bay Point, and Ubuntu Social Wellness.
