A body is being extracted from Tyger Waterfront in Tygervalley.
Bellville police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Henriëtta van Niekerk, confirms police were called to the scene today (18 May).
She says someone spotted the body and reported it and according to CCTV footage a man was seen sitting on the railing at about 08:00. He then allegedly jumped.
At this stage, she says, police are investigating the circumstances around the incident and the man’s identity is not known.
