A Bonteheuwel man was shot and killed on the foot bridge between Heideveld and Bonteheuwel this morning.
Manenberg police spokesperson, Captain Ian Bennett, says they were called to the scene at 06:00 on 17 February where the body of a 40-year-old man was found with a bullet wound in his head.
“It is alleged that he had an argument with members of a gang in the Bonteheuwel area. They chased him towards the foot bridge firing shots at him. The man managed to walk across the bridge into the Heideveld area leaving a blood trail showing the distance he walked before he collapsed.”
