A car stolen in Bellville was recovered in Table View over the weekend thanks to eagle-eyed cops.
According to a report from Table View police, two men were found acting suspiciously while driving a bronze Renault Clio.
Police spokesperson Captain Adriana Chandler says officers noted the vehicle driving from a parking area in Blaauwberg Road towards Parklands and tested the registration number.
Officers then discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen in Bellville a few days earlier.
When the occupants exited the vehicle in Parklands, the officers approached them cautiously and confronted them. During a search of the vehicle, police found various housebreaking implements.
Both men are aged 20 and were arrested for being in possession of a stolen vehicle and housebreaking implements.
The duo will appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court tomorrow (Tuesday 22 November).
