A group of armed men have just robbed a liquor store in Milnerton.
According to Community Police Forum (CPF) chairperson, Lianne Lippert, the robbery occurredtoday (8 February) where four armed men stormed the store in Koeberg Road.
Speaking from the scene of the crime, she says: “We are not sure what they have taken yet. We have spoken to a customer who had his cellphone taken by one of the robbers and the men have allegedly fled using the tunnels which run between Tygerhof and Canal Walk”.
Police spokesperson, Captain Adriana Chandler, says the men entered the store just after 15:00.
“They held the cashiers up by gunpoint and locked them in the back while emptying the safe. They also grabbed liquor on the way out and fled the scene on foot. No shots were fired and no one was injured.”
