The suspects started shooting at Arries and in the process injured a 31-year-old victim, says O’Reilly.

“The suspects fled the scene on foot.”

O’Reilly says Arries died on the scene as a result of his injuries.

“He belongs to the Terrible gang. He had five gunshot wounds, two head wounds, two wounds in his left leg and one in the right leg.

“The victim was shot in his upper leg and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.”

Police found nine cartridges on the scene.

Cases of murder and attempted murder have been opened for investigation.

The suspects and motive for the shooting are still unknown at this stage.

Earlier this week a 19 and 33-year-old man were shot in Beret Street, Leonsdale. The men were standing in the street when four suspects started shooting at them.
