Two men were shot at on Monday morning (10 July) in Leonsdale.
Elsies River police spokesperson, Captain Daphne O’Reilly confirmed the shooting that happened around 10:20.
“It is alleged that the two victims, a 19 and 33 year old man were standing in Beret Street when they were approached by a grey Fiat. The vehicle stopped close to them and four suspects got out of the vehicle,” she said.
O’Reilly said the four suspects started shooting at the two victims. The men ran for cover to a nearby house.
The 19-year-old victim was shot in both legs and chest and the 33 year old victim was shot in the left leg.
Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
“It is further alleged that both victims belong to the G Unit gang and the suspects to the Bad Boys gang,” said O’Reilly.
Police are investigating a case of attempted murder.
