The alleged leader of a Cape Flats gang, Jerome Booysen also known as “Donkie”, was gunned down in Ravensmead earlier today, Monday 8 May.
According to an official report from provincial police, the shooting occurred in 47th Street, Connaught Estate, where a 51-year-old man was fatally wounded and two others – aged 43 and 49 – injured.
According to a well-placed source, Booysen was accompanied by three men when the shooting occurred, but he is still alive.
Police spokesperson, Captain FC van Wyk did not confirm the names of the men who were shot, but says a murder and attempted murder case has been opened for investigation.
