Miranda Julies (37), the woman who allegedly snatched eight-month-old baby Lucas Cederus in Kraaifontein last week, is currently under house-arrest.
She appeared in the Blue Downs Magistrate’s Court yesterday (19 January), where she was released on a warning.
According to the prosecutor, the investigating officer wished to oppose bail, but could not be reached at the time.
Julies said that she could not afford to pay bail as she was currently unemployed, after which the court decided to release her.
