Bishop Lavis police confiscated abalone worth millions on Friday (11 August) in Netreg.
Police spokesperson Constable Samantha Adonis says the police acted on information received about abalone being kept at a residence in Netreg.
“Upon police’s arrival at the address, they found a room packed with abalone. The items were confiscated and handed over to the relevant unit.”
Adonis says the police are commended for a job well done and the informers for their bravery.
“The exact value of the abalone is yet to be determined and no arrests have been made.”
